Government Links FERC - Federal Energy Regulatory Commission- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission regulates and oversees energy industries in the economic and environmental interest of the American public. FCC - Federal Communications Commission- The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is an independent United States government agency, directly responsible to Congress. The FCC was established by the Communications Act of 1934 and is charged with regulating interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable. The FCC's jurisdiction covers the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. possessions. OSHA - Occupational Safety & Health Administration- Created in 1971, OSHA's mission is to prevent work-related injuries, illnesses, and deaths. NARUC - National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners- NARUC's mission is to serve the public interest by improving the quality and effectiveness of public utility regulation. NARUC's member agencies regulate the activities of telecommunications, energy, and water utilities.
